Dr. Sean Chung

Dr. Sean Chung earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dentistry at University of British Columbia (UBC) where he was awarded the Gold Medal for graduating at the top of his class. He then completed a General Practice Residency at UBC before pursuing the Master of Science Orthodontic Specialty program at the University of Toronto (U of T) Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Chung is a Canadian Board-Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.

Dr. Chung joined the practice in 2013 and continues the commitment and professional values of his predecessors, Dr. Sheila Smith and Dr. Bryan Tompson. They value and demonstrate a balance between clinical practice, academic excellence and involvement and the development of the dental profession.

Dr. Chung enjoys participating as a full-time clinician in private practice, a publisher for dental journals, a lecturer for international dental universities, a mentor and an educator for the graduate speciality departments of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at U of T. He also volunteers as a Committee Chair to the Ontario Association of Orthodontists and a Director on the Board of the Canadian Associations of Orthodontists. He finds practicing orthodontics in these varying capacities ensures that he can contribute to the general and dental society of today while preparing the practitioners of tomorrow to care for the next generation. Staying current with what is happening in the profession, science and technology, policy and regulation allows him to provide a practice environment where his patients and their families can be comfortable and confident in their decision to entrust their care to him and his team.
